b"This week we are Kush Chatting with Luciann Berrios is a published poet, author and editor. She graduated with a Bachelors in English Language arts from Hunter College and obtained a Master of Arts in Journalism and New Media from Griffith College in Cork, Ireland where she was a writer and contributor for formerly printed None Magazine, an art, photography and fashioned based publication. She was production assistant(and featured) in the short film \\u201cthe Deep\\u201d starring Colin Vearncombe and written/directed by David Bickley. This short film was one of fifty chosen for the Cork Corona Film Festival out of over three hundred submissions. She released her first manuscript under Fly By Night Press entitled, Thunder and Sunshine in One Body in 2017. Her second book was released in 2018 entitled Women of Eve's Garden; this was an anthology she created, curated, contributed to and edited consisting of 10 female and non-binary poets and one visual artist. This collection has since been accepted into the US Library of Congress as of 2018. She has also been published in two other anthologies; one called WORD, by A Gathering of the Tribes (Steve Cannon, recipient of the Barnes and Noble writer for writers award). The other is being released by the NY Times reviewed Philip Giambri (aka the Ancient Mariner), entitled Silver Tongued Devils. She continues to write, hold writing workshops in middle schools and high schools with students to promote a way of navigating their experiences outside of harmful coping methods, and perform across New York City. She was on the board of VenDiva in 2019; a pop up event to promote female business ownership within multicultural communities that included key note speakers, spoken word performances and networking opportunities. She is currently working on her third book called Words from My Collar Bone and continues to work on creating other women driven initiatives.
