\\nChangelings Knit and Stitch - Go and listen!
\\n
\\nOn The Needles:
\\n
\\nGigi is still working on her Zig Zag Slip Stitch socks from the Little Box of Socks
\\nJasmin has finished her first Day-Glo sock (which is the same yarn as Gigi\'s contrast color for her ZZSS Socks), and started the second sock.
\\nThe Social Pressure Experiment\\nis going well. In addition to the 25 lbs of yarn that Jasmin got rid of\\nlast weekend, she\'s purged another 3 big bags. Tika finished her Elphaba Knee Socks, and got wine when we went to Unwined to listen to Juanita sing with the Jack Conway Trio.
\\nGigi has been purging knitting bags. Jasmin likes her good bags (like the Amy Butler bag, or the Tom Bihn bag - especially the sock baggie), but noticed that she\'s always using the canvas bags from individual vendors.
\\nGigi wants to hear from you: what makes an optimal knitting bag.
\\nJasmin\'s Lily of the Valley shawl caught on the velcro in her work bag.
\\nJasmin is a little over halfway done with spinning the yarn for her rainbow socks.
\\n
\\nMother Knows Best:
\\n
\\nOur friend, Ursula is knitting her\\nhusband a sweater with a bunch of texture, and was unsure as to whether\\nthe neck decreases would work out correctly. The solution? A neck\\nswatch!
\\nTo do a neck swatch:
\\nFigure out the total number of neck\\ndecreases. Add a few stitches to that. Follow directions for neck\\ndecreases. It really works.
\\n
\\nWhen Knitting Attacks:
\\n
\\n
Technology attacked, and the end result? New recording equipment for the podcast.
\\nGigi cast on a sock out of the Tess\'\\nYarns sock yarn (which Gigi and Jasmin both loooove!), and neglected to\\nswatch. The sock was eeeensy weensy!
\\nJasmin should not do math for a Cat Bordhi sock at 11PM. When will I ever learn?!
\\n
\\nThanks!
\\n
\\nYour donations help the podcast run, so thanks a MILLION!
\\n
\\nContest:
\\n
\\nThe Cat Bordhi knitting joke &\\nlimerick contest deadline has been extended to Friday, November 7th.\\xa0\\nSend us your limericks and jokes!
\\n
\\nA limerick looks like this:
\\n
\\nWe host a knitting podcast,
\\nWhich normally is a real blast.
\\nWhen technology fails,
\\nJasmin weeps and she wails,
\\nWith Gigi watching nearby, aghast.
