#004: Rory Nolan, Chef, Anocht Restaurant

For Ken On Food #004 I\'m chatting with Rory Nolan.

Rory\'s the head chef of Anocht Restaurant in Kilkenny. Ditching engineering studies in Limerick, Rory jumped into bar work at the Springhill Hotel in Kilkenny in the early noughties, then into the kitchen, on to Chapter One in Dublin, then alongside Garrett Byrne at Campagne.

With Michelin-star credentials, Rory has been looking after things in Anocht for the past four years.

We sat down in studio on Wednesday 17 July for a chat to see how things are and what makes him tick. I\'ve got Rory earmarked for a followup in the next month or two, this time in the restaurant, but this should give you a good introduction to the man in the kitchen.

As the podcast starts to find it\'s feet as well, there\'s also a nod to upcoming events this month including Wings Fest in Bray, the Valentia Island King Scallop Festival and Off The Street Food Fest in Donegal.
