For my first guest I wanted someone special, someone cool, someone awesome, and I achieved this by having the great Anton Barbeau on for a chat. Dig our conversation about his personal history, his stranglehold on the Sacramento music scene in the 90s, and living and creating now in Europe.\\xa0

\\u201cAnton Barbeau plays "pre-apocalyptic psychedelic pop." He's a Taurus, born in Sacramento and now living by a canal in Berlin. He's made something like 30 albums and has worked with members of XTC, The Soft Boys, the Bevis Frond, Cake, the Loud Family and Mystery Lawn label-mates, the Corner Laughers. Julian Cope got him stoned in Croydon once.\\u201d

It was a pleasure talking to Anton about the making of his wonderful new album: MANBIRD and about the music scene in Europe and what it\\u2019s like to tour and make fans in other countries, including earning doting praise for his music from my fave comedian Stewart Lee.
