Where No Wheelchair Has Gone Before: Luke5Adventures

The Ohio-based non-profit is blessing people who are extremely limited as to where they can go when it comes to the great outdoors. Much like Star Trek\u2019s well-known theme, \u201cwhere no one has gone before,\u201d people who lead daily lives in a wheelchair often can only dream about what\u2019s out there \u2013 a peaceful lake, a meadow, squirrels, songbirds. But that is no longer true. Dreams are becoming a reality because of Luke 5 Adventures! With the use of a special one-wheeled chair device imported from France, ministry volunteers - known as \u201cSherpas\u201d - take people who are disabled on hiking adventures, with safety being the first priority.
