Leon F. "Lee" Ellis\\xa0(born October 9, 1943) is a retired\\xa0United States Air Force\\xa0colonel, award-winning author, speaker, and consultant.[1]\\xa0Ellis gained notoriety when, as a\\xa0fighter pilot\\xa0in the\\xa0Vietnam War, he was shot down, captured, and spent\\xa05+1\\u20442\\xa0years as a prisoner of war in\\xa0Hanoi\\xa0and surrounding areas with former presidential candidate and Senator\\xa0John McCain\\xa0(R-AZ) and others.[2]\\xa0His capture occurred on November 7, 1967, and he was released on March 14, 1973.[3]\\xa0He was one of the youngest, junior members in the camps.[2]\\xa0Ellis is an international speaker and consultant on the subjects of leadership and human performance.
