Rich Clifford is a former NASA astronaut and a passionate advocate and activist for Parkinson's Disease. He is also a patient since he was first diagnosed with the disease after completing his second spaceflight in 1994. Subsequent to the diagnosis he was assigned to a third space shuttle mission. He was selected as a NASA Astronaut in 1990. He is a veteran of three space shuttle missions. In this speech, he discusses "The Astronaut's Secret," a planned one-hour documentary that will explore how Clifford kept his Parkinson's Disease a secret for 17 years, including the impact on the Space Shuttle program and Clifford's life.
