Melic are a four-piece rock band based in London. Their sound is derived from an eclectic blend of musicians -fusing a funk-rock bassist, a metal drummer, a classically trained pianist and saxophonist, and a rock singer/song-writer guitarist. Formed in 2008, the band have since recorded three independently released EPs while cutting their teeth on the London live music circuit, headlining shows at many of the city's top venues including Under The Bridge, The Borderline, Cargo, Barfly and the historic 100 Club.Melic have also performed at numerous UK festivals including CornburyFestival and recently toured New Zealand promoting their latest EP titled‘Nowhere I'd Rather Be', in which the title single has had frequent radio play on many stations worldwide. The music video for the single also achieved critical acclaim, aiding Melic to win ‘Best Overall Band' in the UK Unsigned Awards 2012, run by Play Music Magazine.
