In Conversation With Danny Kearns
b'Earlier this year, I had the privilege of sitting with Inchicore native, Danny Kearns. Danny is now in his nineties with a fascinating life story, from growing up in Dublin, working in a number of long gone manufacturing businesses, moving to England and then back to Ireland. Danny subsequently moved to Canada and worked at MCDonnell Douglas and at Ford. A keen golfer he reminisced about a trip to Portmarmock, where, when asked by a course Marshall had he been there previously, confessed to robbing apples from there as a boy. Danny tells an amazing emigration story. He us a regular at the Irish Club of Mississauga, where he is held in high esteem.'
