Emmet Cahill is 26 years old and hails from Mullingar, County Westmeath, Ireland. At age 5 he began learning piano and his vocal training began at age 7. In high school he received a 5 year \\u201cSchola Cantorum\\u201d music scholarship. At 18 he began his formal training when he attended the Royal Irish Academy of Music where he received a BA in Music Performance.

In 2010 Emmet was awarded the \\u2018John McCormack Bursary\\u2019 for most promising young tenor and named \\u201cMost Promising Young Singer\\u201d at the Royal Irish Academy of Music. In addition, he is a multiple prizewinner at the National Feis Ceoil signing competition in Ireland. He was chosen to perform at a special concert for the president of Ireland in 2009.

As a soloist, Emmet has performed in Dublin at the Gaiety Theater, the National Concert Hall, Croke Park for crowds of 90,000, for the President of Ireland, and regularly at the Mullingar Cathedral. Various prestigious venues that include churches, festivals, and a sold out church concert tour in 12 US cities last December

In 2011 Emmet began touring with the international Irish music group, Celtic Thunder. Over the years Emmet has enjoyed touring throughout the United States, Canada and Australia with Celtic Thunder. Individually and with the group, Emmet has appeared on many radio and TV shows such as PBS, QVC and the Today Show and most notably by special invitation for the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C.

After an extensive 72-city 2016 tour of the United States and Canada with Celtic Thunder Emmet will resume his solo career in 2017 touring the United States and Canada including two symphony orchestra concerts in Melbourne, Florida.He was named \\u2018Irish tenor of the Year \\u2018 by the Irish American Music association in 2013. He is also due to make his debut to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City in 2018.

He recently signed a major recording contract with Sony Music USA and his debut album went straight to Number 1 on the world music billboard charts.

\\u201cEmmet Cahill\\u2019s Ireland\\u201d is comprised of beloved Irish classics and folk tunes from the countryside, with Cahill accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland.
