Belfast Conductor Kevin Mallon - 13 Strings
Kevin Mallon from Belfast studied at St. Malachy's College. He won a scholarship to Chetham's School of Music in Manchester, England, where he was influenced by John Eliot Gardiner. He later studied composition with Peter Maxwell Davies at Dartington College of Arts, and studied violin at the Royal Northern College of Music. Kevin has been the Musical Director and Conductor at Ottawa's 13 Strings since 2010 and has decided to pass on the baton. Kevin reflects on his career in Canada, Ireland and many other countries.
