A Bittersweet Taste - Damien FannonA Bittersweet Taste tells the story of an Ice-cream man, Adam Greely, and his struggle to move on after the loss of his wife.Created in 2004 as a grass roots independent filmmakers\\u2019 festival in Ottawa, DIGI60 provides opportunities for new or emerging filmmakers by offering a platform to showcase their work. The Festival has expanded over the years to include documentaries, community collaborations with post-secondary schools, and skills/business workshops through independent film and video partnerships. DIGI60 values artistic achievement and excellence, and provides the foundation for creating and sustaining a vibrant and supportive filmmaking community.Four days of networking, screenings and professional development, the Digi60 Filmmakers' Festival is excited to present a jam packed schedule celebrating emerging filmmakers, their films and members of the independent filmmaking industry. In 2016 Best Film was awarded to Damien Fannon for HOMESICK, about a man who struggles with being away from home \\u2013 problematic with his sister\\u2019s wedding looming in the future. HOMESICK actors Eoghan Flynn and Nicole McIvor also won for Best Ensemble Cast.
