The jeans are low-rise, pink lip-smacker is the gloss of choice, & the DRAMA is vast - yes we are taking a trip down memory lane - to middle school (queue ominous music here).
We knew exploring our sisterhood wound has been such an integral part of our healing journey & we knew we couldn't be alone in this.
We discuss some of the cruelest memories from 6th-8th grade (and beyond) that shaped our programming around female friendships.
We chat through:
- wanting boobs (& all the insecurities we developed at that age, based around the patriarchal, competitive society we were raised in)
- feeling like we don't belong but just wanting to be accepted so badly
- our real-life sisters (shout out Tay & Lys!) & what that journey has looked like
- all that middle school hurt and despair that still comes up today
