What does the Integrated Review mean for the UK?

The government is set to publish its Integrated Review of Security, Defence, Development and Foreign Policy. Its conclusions will shape the UK\u2019s approach to national security and determine how the government sees the UK\u2019s place in the world but the review's impact goes beyond foreign policy.\n\nThis Institute for Government event discussed how the review will shape the government\u2019s domestic agenda, what it means for the UK\u2019s economic prosperity and stability, and the UK\u2019s readiness to meet security threats to the international order such as climate change, cyber attacks, and pandemics.\n\nOn the panel were:\n\nRt Hon Tobias Ellwood MP, Chair of the House of Commons Defence Select Committee\nShashank Joshi, Defence Editor at The Economist\nCiaran Martin, former Chief Executive of the National Cyber Security Centre; now Professor of Practice in the Management of Public Organisations at Blavatnik School of Government, Oxford University\nCate Pye, Partner, Cyber Security and Public Sector at PA Consulting\n\nThe event was chaired by Alex Thomas, Programme Director at the Institute for Government.
