\\nOn today\'s Song of the Day,\\xa0all-female African supergroup Les Amazones d\\u2019Afrique\\xa0\\u2014 which translates to "The Amazons of Africa" \\u2014 celebrate the so-called imperfections that make each of us unique.
\\n\\u201cThe song has a simple message,\\u201d Malian singer Mamani Ke\\xefta explained in a press release. \\u201cThe perfect person does not exist. We all have our flaws and imperfections which we carry with us through life. But there is beauty in imperfection, and that\\u2019s what we want people to realise.\\u201d
\\nThe group worked with acclaimed producer\\xa0Jacknife Lee (U2, Modest Mouse, Taylor Swift) on their third album\\xa0Musow Danse, released last month via\\xa0Real World Records.\\xa0 \\u201cJacknife Lee took time to listen to each of our voices,\\u201d says vocalist Fafa Ruffino, from Benin. \\u201cHe doesn\\u2019t understand the language but you can tell that he feels the emotion, understands that our souls are deeply invested in our words. I feel like he entered our minds. What he did is more than musical. It is spiritual.\\u201d
