From TikTok buzzband to their sophomore album\\xa0Emotional Creature, Chicago-based band\\xa0Beach Bunny have earned a devoted following, including producer\\xa0Butch Vig and actor Bob Odenkirk, who even appears in one of their music videos.\\xa0

A huge part of their appeal is the confessional and, ultimately, relatable lyrics from frontwoman\\xa0Lili Trifilio. On today\'s Song of the Day, she tells Stereogum, she took inspiration from the Jonas Brothers for this infectious,\\xa0polished pop song. Reflecting on her journey as a musician, she continues, "As a young kid I was watching Hannah Montana thinking that was the most unrealistic expectation of all time. But now here I am and all of it happened organically; it just goes very slowly over many, many years. If you want to do something in a creative field, make it a passion project and try it for a few years. You\\u2019ll learn what you want to do, or you\\u2019ll get to go on a journey. Embark on your journeys! Don\\u2019t settle! I mean it! Oh, and don\\u2019t date toxic boys. Or I guess, if you do, at least you\\u2019ll have songs to write about them."
