Echeverr\xeda discusses how he conducted the research\u2014which included reaching out to three human smugglers and a Google Trends analysis\u2014and his findings. \n\nFor him, despite restrictions from the Chinese Communist Party, social media plays a major role in helping Chinese citizens obtain information about zouxian.
