An episode from 11/11/20: Tonight, I read from Lawrence Weschler\\u2019s collection of essays, Vermeer in Bosnia. In the title essay, Weschler describes a war-crimes trial judge who can only find solace from his daily work by visiting Vermeer\\u2019s paintings at the Mauritshuis museum. Weschler also mentions the context of Vermeer\'s career as an artists, which coincided with a series of wars.
