The Break Free From Plastic Coalition sent a letter signed by 257 groups urging Congress to address plastic pollution and its environmental justice impacts in the next stimulus. The letter outlines recommendations for building back a green economy and rejecting dirty schemes such as waste-to-energy and waste-to-fuel. Trash incinerators have had an enormous impact on the health of local communities; to discuss more about the environmental justice issue of burning plastic waste, HMM's Alexis Goldsmith is joined by Thomas Helme of Valley Improvement Project.
