\\xa0 \\xa0 The Australian Summer is Here!
Set starts in the Hippies 70\'s and ends in the 80\'s with Rick Astley.. You are forewarned!
For Viv, the kids and myself to sing-a-long in the car during the Summer.. I hope\\xa0they will like it!
Simple, fun and happy set.. \\xa0It\'s Disco, It\'s Eighties, It\'s Up and it\'s Summer.
Granted\\xa0it is a bit handbag but I fully assume it and since I am not over the crap I heard when I went out a month ago, it is my way to say that I do not hate commercial house (on the contrary!) but I really despise\\xa0a professional\\xa0not making the effort to find something original..
This being said there is a lot of talent\\xa0in this playlist if you take a second and scan through.. Tocadisco, DJ Meme and Frankie Knuckles, Shane D (rare producer/remixer/dj talent from Durban South Africa) and Scott Diaz..
If you are ready to sing and dance.. try it! If you look for something progressive underground take cover this is NOT FOR YOU!
As for the art... well I have used a few skimpy girls before to bopost up the ranking.. I thought I have have one for the girls ( and boys)..
\\xa0Playlist:
Highlights:
The kids have already their favourite.. Shane D\'s edit of Adele\'s "Rollin in The Deep", close second the Tocadisco take on the "Hair" old anthem " Let The Sunshine In"..
I personally love Meme\'s disco take on "Make Me Feel", the sexiness of Shane D\'s beats on Silence and I could not pass on the Dobbie Borthers.. this is pure genius! The original is left untouched just udpated.. As for Rick Astley... let\'s see if you will not dance, sing aor whistle along.
A bit of Jackin\' house with Scoot Diaz "No Matter", if you do not know what Jackin\' House is, do not worry.. up until a few months ago I did not know it existed nor would I have ever thought I would actually like it..
As for the Frankie Knuckles tracks (all the Director\'s Cut jams).. well.. it is Frankie and if you cannot hear the talent, the art, the silk, the perfection.. you should not be reading my blurb.. Frankie Knuckles... It\'s Aural cashmere...
Yoko Ono\'s "Movin\' On"..\\xa0Tune really belonged to the Transitions trilogy but I could not fit it in the self-imposed 1h20min format, besides I think it is not out of place here.
Next one should be Sexy Deep House but I may also do a ghost for a live set to be played on NYD therefore not sure which way it will go..
Enjoy
