Start Small

Morning Mantra: "The best way to achieve big goals is to take small steps."\xa0
When you start working towards a goal it can be overwhelming.\xa0 So overwhelming that we quit.

What if you break that huge goal down into micro goals?
Want to run a 10K but can't get off the couch? Start walking to the mailbox and back.\xa0 Then add to the end of the street. And add a little further each time it gets easy.\xa0 Before you know it you can run those distances.

Want to lose 30 lbs? That's really hard when you look at it that way.\xa0 Why not start eating better with one meal? Then two.\xa0 Then one day.\xa0 Then two.\xa0 Until eating healthy is a way of life.

When we break things into small steps that we can do, it creates motivation every time we succeed. \xa0

If we try and set a huge goal, go after it with gusto and fail, it has the opposite affect.\xa0

Keep your eye on the prize and try and remember little by little adds up to a lot.\xa0
