Self Compassion

Morning Mantra: \u201cIf being hard on yourself worked, it would have worked already.\u201d

You cannot hate yourself into a better version of yourself. Being hard on yourself never works. It only brings you down. It does not lift you up. It\u2019s not a motivator of change.\xa0

You\u2019ve been criticizing yourself for years, try approving of yourself and see what happens. Try extending yourself some compassion instead. \xa0

Unlike self-criticizing, which asks if you\u2019re good enough compared to others, self-compassion gets you to ask yourself what is good for you.\xa0 What is serving you. What is it that you have to offer. It helps you appreciate your strengths instead of focusing on your mistakes or what you lack.

Start appreciating what you are doing right.\xa0 Appreciate every step in the direction of who YOU want to be instead of who you think you NEED to be to fit in.\xa0 Of the person you were born to be.\xa0
