Today I am showing my green Off the Track Thoroughbred in his very first show and my first show in almost 20 years. I am terrified. But I know we will be fine. We\u2019ve put in the work, and I have an amazing barn family and trainer cheering me on.
I decided that I am tired of being a spectator. I want to LIVE my life fully. Embracing the fear that keeps me back. I am tired of using my age as an excuse. My gap in riding as a reason. Nope, I\u2019m going for it!
Life is so short and full of opportunities to expand rather than contract. I may not win a ribbon, he may decide that the show grounds are full of scary things, and I might hold my breath the entire time, but I\u2019ll be damned if I\u2019m going to sit on the sidelines.
Live your life with more days of \u201cI can\u2019t believe I did that!\u201d than \u201cI wish I had done that.\u201d
