At the time of its creation, the Constitution of the United States was arguably one of the most influential political documents in existence. However, many of the colonists failed to live up to the extraordinary standards embodied in the language of the document. Now is the time for us to usher in a new era of a more equal, more representative, more compassionate country that finally lives up to the ideals instilled in the Constitution.
