James Buchanan "Bucky" Barnes was a tremendously skilled soldier, as well as Captain America's trusted allie during World War II. Unfortunately he seemed to meet his demise atop an exploding aircraft near the end of the war. Bucky was believed to be dead for over sixty years until a mysterious figure known as The Winter Soldier began to appear.
