She moved to the mountains of Tennessee for college and fell in love with the south. She has made her home in Georgia for the past 35 years and founded Slow Food Atlanta in 2000. She served as leader of the Atlanta chapter for ten years, and went on to serve as regional governor for the SE region before being elected to the board of directors of SFUSA.'
