On the podcast today, I have the pleasure of shining the light on the story of an amazing human being and treasured friend, Deisy Vasquez.\xa0
Deisy Vasquez is currently a family therapist working with at-risk youth who have suffered some sword of trauma. Previously, Deisy worked in a school setting, helping families from low-income households. She graduated from John Jay College of Criminal Justice with a bachelor's degree in forensic psychology. Deisy is also a full-time student completing her PsyD in clinical psychology. Deisy has a passion for spreading awareness on mental health, as she struggled with it for many years, which is why she started her podcast Opsy Deisy.\xa0 She also enjoys advocating for adoption because it saved her life, and she wants other children to have the same opportunities of knowing stability and to feel nurtured.
I have only love and more love for all that we shared during this conversation. It was honest, deep, intimate; there is something about the way Deisy delivers the message of mental health and sharing her own journey of walking away from people-pleasing and choosing to stop disappointing herself and live life at her terms and happy that is so relatable yet at the same time so profound. Truly a conversation and friendship that I count my blessings everyday for. If you\u2019re all about keeping things real and have an interest for all things mental health related, I strongly urge you to go listen, follow and subscribe to Deisy\u2019s podcast!\xa0
