NMP stands for 'not my patient, not my problem" an endemic yet widespread 'infection' that is the byproduct of an excessively hierarchical and overly engineered specialist and subspecialist culture of medicine so wide and so deep even the best of the best present with blind (i.e. implicit or confirmation bias) spots while we the patient, family member, friend or loved ones often pay a very steep price.
