Iowa was going to face #1 Purdue last week, but they fell from the top ranking with their loss at Northwestern. Despite that, I wanted to recap the past men's basketball games against #1 ranked teams.

Iowa is 3-23 all-time (11.5% win rate), with the 3 wins coming in 1965 vs UCLA (played in Chicago), 1999 against UConn in Steve Alford's first game as coach, and in 2015 against Michigan State at home.

One of the most painful losses is the 1987 Elite Eight game against UNLV when Iowa was winning big at halftime, but couldn't hold off the Rebels.
