12/4/19: MR. MUTATO HEAD The prospect of designing our children and future generations is like the sci-fi movie, Gattaca, coming to reality. The idea of eliminating genetic defectives could win out in a world obsessed with concerns of worldwide sustainability. With all of the advantages, we may want to be concerned about the potential for a DNA edited dystopian future that most certainly would overturn American notions of equality, opportunity, and human rights.
