Artworks Inc. To Receive $125,000

www.GoodMorningGwinnett.com The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners has approved $125,000 for the nonprofit Artworks! Gwinnett Inc. to develop a master plan that will help provide vision, goals, priorities and strategic direction for the arts in Gwinnett.


\u201cThe Gwinnett County 2040 Unified Plan identifies \u2018Keep Gwinnett a Preferred Place\u2019 as one of the five themes guiding county decisions,\u201d said Chairwoman Nicole Hendrickson. \u201cA thriving arts community attracts tourists and diverse talent, brings about innovation and grows the economy. When we invest in the arts, everyone benefits.\u201d

According to the information provided by Gwinnett, \u201cThe master plan will also lay the foundation for developing policies for funding, identify and create an inventory of current resources, develop a priority of future projects, provide guidelines for future maintenance plans, and encourage a sense of community with residents and stakeholders through community participation.\u201d
