Relatively Speaking Podcast: NFL was ho-hum, NBA preview extravaganza

Published: Oct. 24, 2016, 2:41 p.m.

It is Monday. Many are mourning the losses -- or one loss (no spoilers here) -- of characters being walloped to the point of no return in The Walking Dead. Luckily for you, humans, the Relatively Speaking Podcast is here to help you overcome this insane adversity.\n\nJared and Joseph start the show glossing over the NFL. Both believe the weekend was a bit of a dull. For what it is worth, they did manage to find a new show mascot, however.\n\nThis leads us to the best segment in all of podcasting history, Bad Tweets.\n\nJared uses one that involves calling the San Diego Chargers the second best team in the AFC. Joseph pulls one from those mean streets that is boycotting the NBA over someone else boycotting something else entirely. America is grand isn't it?\n\nAfter brand new music, the guys do a deep dive into the NBA. Underrated, overrated, MVP candidates, random Bill Russell slander, all involved in this glorious, if not downright life-changing, preview segment.\n\nAbsurd Questions is as absurd as usual this week. Joseph wants Forrest Gump to end with Tom Hanks being stepped on by dinosaur ridden by Christian Slater. Jared wants to know what team from another era would be neat to watch in today's NBA (the answer is none).\n\nFollow Jared on the mean, dark, cold streets of Twitter @JMintzHoops.\n\nYou can do the same with the other host who is less articulate @JosephNardone.\n\nPS: If you're feeling froggy my friends, then jump, Merica.
