This week we delve deeper into the topic of weaken vowels that behave similarly to schwa /\\u0259/, namely the weakened forms of the /i/ and /u/ vowels [usually realized as somewhere in the range of [i\\u033d] or [\\u0268], [\\u028a] or perhaps [\\u0275], sometimes known\\u2014controversially\\u2014as \\u201cschwee\\u201d and \\u201cschwoo.\\u201d We even chat about weakened diphthongs and what that might mean for speakers (\\u201cschwoe\\u201d and \\u201cschwhy,\\u201d anyone?).
