Just such a profoundly sad day in the world of sports. On Monday's GCR, we reflected on the life and legacy of Kobe Bryant and the overwhelming sadness surrounding the crash that claimed his, his daughter's and seven others' lives. Early in Hour 1, former Towson star Gary Neal (Aberdeen/Calvert Hall) joined us to reflect on his many matchups with Kobe in the NBA after growing up as someone who loved watching Kobe play. As the show went on, we also discussed Maryland's big win over Indiana and the report that the Ravens could tag and trade Matt Judon. Late in Hour 1, filmmaker Stanley Nelson joined us to discuss "30 For 30: Vick," which debuts Thursday night on ESPN. Midway through Hour 2, former Terps star Joe Smith checked in to discuss his memories of being teammates with Kobe during his final NBA season and his excitement about his "nephew" Jalen Smith. And we wrapped the show with a visit from our friend Dario DiBattista, who is hosting an amazing Big Game party Sunday to honor a fallen Marine.
