However, recent investigations by the NYPD have officially recognized her as one of Berkowitz\u2019s victims .
The encounter deeply affected Savino\u2019s life, leading her to relocate to England for recovery after the attack. Decades later, investigators connected her case to Berkowitz, recognizing her bravery and ordeal during his reign of terror . Despite the tragic events, Savino\u2019s story is a testament to her resilience and survival.
