RockerMike and Rob discuss \t\t\nRoger Keith "Syd" Barrett (6 January 1946\xa0\u2013 7 July 2006) was an English singer, songwriter, musician and painter who co-founded the rock band Pink Floyd in 1965. Barrett was their original frontman and primary songwriter, becoming known for his whimsical take on psychedelia,English-accented singing, literary influences, and stream-of-consciousness writing style. As a guitarist, he was influential for his free-form playing and for employing dissonance, distortion, echo, feedback, and other studio effects.\nBarrett was musically active for fewer than ten years. With Pink Floyd, he recorded four singles, their debut album The Piper at the Gates of Dawn (1967), portions of their second album A Saucerful of Secrets (1968), and several unreleased songs. In April 1968, Barrett was ousted from the band amid speculation of mental illness and his excessive use of psychedelic drugs. He began a brief solo career in 1969 with the single "Octopus" and followed with the albums The Madcap Laughs (1970) and Barrett (1970), recorded with the aid of several members of Pink Floyd\n\nhttps://www.rollingstone.com/feature/syd-barrett-10-things-you-didnt-know-about-pink-floyds-crazy-diamond-225236/amp/\n\nhttps://bestclassicbands.com/pink-floyd-syd-barrett-11-15-166/\n\nhttps://www.biography.com/.amp/news/syd-barrett-pink-floyd\n\nhttps://www.discogs.com/artist/178489-Syd-Barrett\n\nPlease follow us on Youtube,Facebook,Instagram,Twitter,Patreon and at www.gettinglumpedup.com\n\nhttps://linktr.ee/RobRossi\n\nGet your T-shirt at https://www.prowrestlingtees.com/gettinglumpedup\nAnd \nhttps://www.bonfire.com/store/getting-lumped-up/\n\n Subscribe to the Youtube channel\n Hit the like button \n\n--- This episode is sponsored by \xb7 Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/rob-rossi/support \n\nhttps://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/getting-lumped-up-with-rob-rossi/id1448899708\n\nhttps://www.google.com/podcasts?feed=aHR0cHM6Ly9hbmNob3IuZm0vcy83ZTZmNmU4L3BvZGNhc3QvcnNz\n\nhttps://open.spotify.com/show/00ZWLZaYqQlJji1QSoEz7a\n\nhttps://www.breaker.audio/getting-lumped-up-with-rob-rossi\n\nhttps://overcast.fm/itunes1448899708/getting-lumped-up-with-rob-rossi\n\nhttps://radiopublic.com/getting-lumped-up-with-rob-rossi-6B34eM\n\nhttps://pca.st/M9Mv\n\nhttps://www.stitcher.com/podcast/anchor-podcasts/getting-lumped-up-with-rob-rossi\n\nhttps://anchor.fm/rob-rossi\n\nhttps://pandora.app.link/uIAiNyok0ab\n\nhttps://www.iheart.com/podcast/256-getting-lumped-up-with-rob-31091619?cmp=ios_share&sc=ios_social_share&pr=false&autoplay=true\n\nhttps://www.patreon.com/Gettinglumpedup\n\n#buckinghamnicks #drummerboy #johnnycash #neilyoungandcrazyhorse #vaporwave #vintage #rockmusic #thebeatles #love #70s #paulmccartney #art #singer #thebeatlesforever #beatlesforever #pinkfloyd #musician #instamusic #fashion #rock #newmusic #rockandroll #rocknroll #classicrock #beatlemania #photography #abbeyroad #beatles #blues #1960s
