Alex, a Ph.D. student from The Netherlands, came onto the show to talk about viruses (including her research on HIV), the human immune system, and autophagy - as always we got onto other topics such as climate change, and cell communication within the body. Alex has a background in microbiology, and completed her undergrad at UBC Okanagan! We were able to ask some questions about the coronavirus (COVID-19) - so watch or listen for answers!
