The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors is considering a plan to "decarcerate" jails by citing and releasing anyone with bail at $50,000 or less. Over the weekend, the LA Times gave Mark Ridley-Thomas high praise days after he was convicted of fraud. A long-dormant lake in Tulare, California has reappeared but has caused problem for the town.
