Jason Peters Moves To Left Tackle

Eagles head coach Doug Pederson had surprising news for yesterday when he told us Jason Peters came into his office and told he was ready to move to left tackle.  Pederson refused to talk about the contract, which let's us know, Peters probably got some additional money for the move.

Regardless, it's great news for the Eagles and quarterback Carson Wentz because there's no way they wanted to start the season with the second pick in the draft, Chase Young, rushing the passer against an untested left tackle like Matt Pryor.  Pryor made Eagles backup defensive end Josh Sweat look like a Hall of Famer in a scrimmage at Lincoln Financial Field.   Carson Wentz had the quote of the day when he said, "They call him (Peters) the "BodyGuard" for a reason."

I couldn't help but start talking about how important it is that the Eagles mix a running game against the outstanding defensive front of the Washington Football Team.
