The Athletic’s Adam Crafton joins The Front Three to explain why Liverpool and Manchester United’s “Project Big Picture” proposal was ultimately shot down by the Premier League. He also tells us how and why the power of the “Big Six” – including Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham continues to grow and why the influence of American Owners like the Glazers, Stan Kroenke, and the Fenway Sports Group could change the landscape of British football. This “Americanisation” of the Premier League could lead to some aspects of the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL and MLS being introduced to football. This is because all three owners have links to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Rapids, St. Louis Rams and the Boston Red Sox. The guys also discuss the impact that the Global Pandemic could have on the lower leagues and grassroots football and the backlash to the Premier League’s decision to charge fans \xa314.95 to watch games via pay-per-view (PPV).
