Touring is often an essential aspect of a musician's career \u2014 perhaps now more than ever. Some bands rely on performance income because streaming plays net fractional pay, while for others it might be the only way they grow their audience.\n\nAnd while many COVID-19 restrictions have ended and music fans are flocking to stages, the virus is still making this very exposed way of life even more challenging. \n\nToday on Front Burner, producer Derek Vanderwyk speaks to independent musicians \u2014 including Charlotte Cornfield, Daniel Monkman and Zack Mykula \u2014 about the challenges of going on tour in 2022.
