Two people are dead following a house fire in Panama City early Monday morning.According to a press release from the Panama City Fire Department, firefighters responded to a structure fire on Clay Avenue with possible victims just after 1 a.m. on Monday. Upon arrival, the crew found a single-story, wood framed house with heavy fire coming from the roof area of approximately 50% of the home. According to the release, firefighters entered the bedroom areas of the residence and they were found to be clear. Crews were unable to enter a portion of the home until the fire was knocked down and deemed safe to enter, due to the extent of the fire and how long it had burning prior to their arrival.
