Pickerington soldier blames burn-pit exposure for his deadly illness

When Heath Robinson left Iraq in 2007 after a year-long deployment with the Ohio National Guard, he had no idea that 10 years later, he would be diagnosed with a rare form of lung cancer that his doctor said had to be caused by a toxic exposure. That exposure, Robinson said, was to open-burning trash pits overseas. More than two and a half years after his diagnosis, Robinson, 38, is struggling.
