Ukraine fights to take back territory
The Ukrainian military says its counterattacks north of Kyiv appear to be making some headway. But in Mariupol, the Russian bombardment continues, with new satellite images showing more fire and destruction across the city. A senior US defense official says Putin's forces are also firing on Mariupol from ships.
