Mariana Matthews, That Lady Hypnotist, talks dream deferred then realized.
Mariana Matthews knew at an early age that performing was in her blood. After seeing an incredible stage hypnotist show in Reno in her college years, Mariana told herself that's what she wanted to do - "someday." But as John Lennon said, "life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans." As many of us do, Mariana abandoned that dream for a more stable career. After spending years in law enforcement in the Seattle area, Mariana moved to Maui and rekindled her love of performing with a job at the Maui Cultural Arts Center. But it took another job and another move to get her to really take steps toward her true passion. Once she got her degree in hypnotherapy, and after spending time honing her craft in Las Vegas, Mariana was able to realize that long-ago dream of becoming a world-class stage hypnotist.
