Xan Barksdale is the founder and CEO of Catching-101.com.  He began his collegiate playing career at Holmes Community College, a Junior College in Goodman, Mississippi.  He then transferred to Ole Miss University, a Division I Program in the SEC.  After graduating he went onto play in the MLB Braves Organization for three years.  Soon after he began his coaching career, spending 2007-2011 as an Assistant Coach at Louisville University.  While at Louisville he started his company, Catching 101.  Then, from 2012-2015 he was an Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at East Tennessee University.  In 2016, he was brought onto the USA Baseball 14u National team development program as the catching coordinator.  He also spent time as the USA Baseball 15u catching coach.  Currently, he is focusing on running his website Catching-101.com.
