Speaking of revisiting the past, Ashley interviewed Margaret Wilkerson Sexton, author of \\u201cOn the Rooftop\\u201d. Ashley asked about writing about characters who dream and own their voice, using food as gathering and remembrance of family, how the characters nourish themselves, and writing about gentrification in 1950s San Francisco.\\xa0
