Erin Campbell is the Chief Marketing Officer at GEN Z a water company.
Erin has the better part of the past two decades uncovering the human side of commerce\\u2014finding powerful ways to motivate team members, propel clients\\u2019 businesses, and win over consumers.
Through her immersion in shopper insights and psychology, decision science, commerce strategy, retailer media, and purchase data, her big takeaway is a bit counterintuitive for such a left-brained arena: She\\u2019s learned the value of celebrating emotion.
The more she discovered about how the brain works, the clearer she understood that no decision is made without the influence of emotions\\u2014consciously or subconsciously\\u2014and most decisions are not only influenced but fueled by these emotions. It isn\\u2019t reason that drives our decisions. Instead of ignoring this side of humanity or minimizing it, She\\u2019s interested in how we can leverage it to make well-rounded, intuitive, empathic decisions, and develop ideas that lead to innovation and connection.
She\\u2019s a self-diagnosed personality test junkie, and could nerd out on consumer psychology all day long. She did exactly that during her 15-year stint in the agency world. But when an irresistible opportunity came her way, She decided to leave her cozy post and step out into the unknown of launching a new CPG brand from scratch which led her to GEN Z.
