Jordan Carlisle: Founder, Investor, and Community Builder in the Northwest Arkansas Region
Jordan Carlisle is a founder and angel investor in the Northwest Arkansas area. He learned everything he could about lean startups, design thinking, and entrepreneurship through hosting events called Startup Weekends, where people build software projects with mentors and pitch them to investors over the course of a weekend. He also hosted hundreds of coffee meetups called 1 Million Cups, where entrepreneurs explain what their businesses are all about and get feedback from other entrepreneurs. In 2015, Jordan founded Strengthen, where he helped people develop foundational habits that enable positive transformation in life and sport. And in 2018, Jordan was named the Vice President of Economic Development and Entrepreneurship by the Greater Bentonville Area Chamber of Commerce.
