Angela D. Bryan is a Full Professor and Associate Chair for Faculty Development in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of Colorado Boulder. She is co-director of the CU Center for Health and Neuroscience, Genes, and Environment (CUChange) where the main thrust of her research has focused on a transdisciplinary approach to the study of health and risk behavior, and the development of interventions to improve health behaviors including physical activity, and decrease risk behaviors including sexual risk and substance use. Most recently, she and her colleagues have been heavily focused on the study of the public health implications of cannabis legalization. They study harm reduction in the context of high potency concentrates, possible impacts of cannabis use on health behaviors like diet and physical activity, as well as potential benefits of cannabis for pain, anxiety, sleep and in the context of cancer care. Dr. Bryan\u2019s work has been continuously funded for over 20 years by NIH institutes including NIAAA, NCI, NIDA, NIA, and NINR. She has over 240 peer reviewed publications and teaches health psychology, research methods and statistical methods to undergraduate and graduate students.
